the 72 Hours Scheme

it all began one sunday afternoon. afetr all the pepole who came to the meeting which takes place every sunday at 17:00, 3 pepole stayed. Oded Mofradi, Shachar Abiri and Oded Sharon,
the three of them were close friends ever since the telenoar was first born on 19.9.91. they stayed up late just because they wanted to go to eat something after the meeting (as the usually do after the meeting), while talking, one of them mentioned the fact that all the three were going to leave the telenoar soon, and join the army.
they agreed, they MUST fool the other guys somehow, and it must be something REALLY big. now, a little background:
there were talks around the gang, that soon it will be possible to make LIVE broadcasts using an optic fiber connected to the broadcasting center in Tevel. and there was an idea to do some kind of Show-making marathon (because it was the Summer vacation) to make one spactacular show.
shachar, oded, and oded decided to combine all the ideas together: and thus was born "The 72 Hours Scheme".

The plan was like so: go with the marathon as scheduled, but at the end of it go on the air with a FAKE live broadcast.
In order to fool everybody (excluding Bikurey haitim's manager, and the grown-up supervisior - Ilan Barnet) we thought how to make everybody think that we can be on live broadcast ?
The idea we came up upon was like so : we connected an empty metallic box to the wall, with two wires coming out of it.one, to the video mixer, at our control cosole. and the second wire (the so-called "fiber optic") we got out the window, and all the way down to Micky's Kiosk at the bottom floor. we also spread peaces of optic cable on the floor - to be thouhgt is a Spare Cable.
we printed a fake letter from Bezeq (using the header of a phone bill) regarding the fiber optic cable, and the adapter box they've installed on the wall, which MUST be kept close or it will be ruined.
the letter was signed by Eli Barkan, Which is a combination for Eli Yazpan and Yehuda Barkan, two Candid camera hosts on Israelli TV.

The plan was, that at the end of the so-called "live" show, the three of us, oded, oded and shachar, will start some kind of fight between ourselfs, interrupting the "most important-historical-first ever" live show.

The Moment of truth has come ! the time is Thursday 18:50, we have to go on air at 19:00, and the show isn't ready yet, a "phone call" to Tevel, tells us they've put on a slider that tells that the show will begin shortly. after resolving all the problems, the show starts.
shachar, oded and oded, wait quietlly for the right moment. and it came. Oded M. and Oded s. started yelling at each other. inside the sound stage, and interfered with show. none of the pepole there knew what is happening. then run into the control room (which is the room next to the studio), and start fight with one another, hitting each other and making lots of noise. Itay Filiba, the director of the show, didn't lose his coolness and continued his show, we didn't like it. so we disturbed him also. everybody was whelmed, nobody knew what's going on , and then we told them the truth.
"It's not really live !" we said, "you've been had !. and this box -" climbing on the table, opening the box on the wall, "all it contains is this note sayng - fooled you ! it's all a fraud ! the letter, the cable, the slider at tevel. everything "
they were shocked. no body said anything. and Filiba started walking out screaming "You madman ! how can you do this to us !".
he didn't speak to any of us for a while.
but alas, from all the racket, came one good thing, it brought us together, and from that day, the telenoar peaked, making TWO (2) REAL (!!!) live shows, and made the telenoar better for us all.
